Fuel Line Size
I need to start thinking fuel lines now, in particular what size to use.
I am assuming that I will be running solid pipe from fron to back and various flexi piping to connect etc.
Is there a preferred size for fuel pipe (solid and flexi) ?
It will be a 2.0 Pinto running R1 bike carbs.
Also on the subject can anyone recommend a preferred fuel pump for R1 carbs? Do bike pumps need a regulator?
Many thanks, andy

The best way is to use 8mm copper heating pipe which u can get from BnQ for 11 quid for 10metres. This will run along your tunnel and then just some
bits of 8mm rubber fuel hose to connect to carbs and pump.
As for the fuel pump youd b best to use an R1 carbed bike pump to run it. Then the pressure etc is correct for the carbs. 10 quid from ebay. This
will save the need for fuel regulaters etc. Make sure you get one from a carbed bike as injection bikes run too high pressure.

yep, agreed, 8mm will be perfect for the whole job, and conveniently 5/16" flexible hose will also fit over 8mm copper which is handy as
5/16" is a very common (i.e. cheap!) flexy hose size

Many thanks for your help.
Does fuel need special p-clips to secure it or are the normal plastic ones sufficient?
I am assuming that metal ones with rubber linings will be required for SVA?

i used ally rubber p-clips but i think its only personal preference, they are more expensive. the 8mm microbore pipe is even cheaper from screwfix
as said 5/16 hose fits straight on
beware, I've got yellow skin
