Carbs
Right finally sorted the clutch out (new one fitted) and discovered i cant replace the clutch cable without removing the steering column or cutting
the bolt in half
Anyway the problem is at low throttle the car jerks and seems to get bursts of fuel, it doesnt stop but seems to struggle then surge forward and then
struggle again, but once i give it some welly the second carb picks up and everythings fine if a bit slower than im used to! So i figure one of the
carbs is dirty or something? I have got some carb cleaner so Ill try and have a go at that tonight, but any other ideas about what it could be?
Like i said i dont think its the fuel line as when both carbs are working you dont have the surge, although it feels a touch underpowered only at low
throttle when its working on 1 carb

no no no
took it to bits last night and discovered the reason it was off is the connection between the second carb and the throttle had fallen off so i was
runnin on 1 carb!
Add to the the alternator coming loose and me flattening the battery the exhaust blowing a hole and one side of the numberplate falling off, it was an
interesting night! i was just happy to take her for a spin
