Spigot bearing removal part II
Tried the dowel grease/vaseline method several times, good at greasing the garage but no go.
Didnt have time to pick up a rawlbolt.
Started Dremeling but was frit that I'd damage the crank bearing housing.
Remedy.
Pried out needle rollers.
Got a 10 mill washer that just fitted inside roller housing, filed 2 flats on it put it through a 6 mill coach bolt and pushed the washer/bolt at an
angle into the remains of the bearing pulled the bolt so the washer caught on the lip of the bearing put a socket over the bolt with a washer followed
by a 6 mill nut tightened the nut and out she popped.
Now if anyone knows how to get a mixture of grease and vaseline off of a Jack Russell I'd appreciate it.
Cheers,
Bob
I used to be a Werewolf but I'm alright nowwoooooooooooooo
