Pinto head!! Is it scrap?
I took the cylinder head off my pinto to do the head gasket, and decided to relap the valves while it was off.
I have since found that one of the exhaust valve seats is cracked .
Can this be repaired or is the head cracked and therefore scrap??
Any information would be appreciated, Thanks.

IMHO not worth repairing when you can get complete engine for £20. (Of course the head on that can be cracked too )

The cracked seat can be removed and a new unleaded seat can be put in, as long as the head itself is not cracked. This is only economicaly worth it if
the head has had some work done on it, porting/gasflowing etc to raise its value.

If it is an unleaded head it is worth repairing and should already have inserts. If not thna unless it is modified, a replacement will cost peanuts.
It would be a good time to upgrade to an injection head as these are much better.
