Anyone with a Zetec? . . What do I need from the Engine bay??
Hi again,
I went out and checked the engine today I mentioned yesterday. Turns out its a V reg, done 75k, for £200+VAT. Still sounds good though, and they will
remove it from the car for me so a question to any other Zetec engined members . . What do I need from the engine bay to come with this car? Im gonna
attempt to use standard injection with Megasquirt for now, so anything other than start, alt, usual etc.???

Is it a 2.0?
If it is a 1.8 that sounds expensive. I just bought a Focus 1.8 with 62k on it for £60.

yeah its a 1999 2.0 Blacktop. I saw another one, 46000 on it for 550. 235 sounds pretty good to me.

Plus ecu if youre planning on using the standard Ford setup along with the ignition barrel and key for the imobiliser. one thing to bear in mind is
that it will need a Cat on it for the SVA with it being a post 95 engine. I bought an entire 93 Mondeo complete for £70 off ebay which gave me a good
chance to test drive the engine to make sure all's well. The earlier Mondeos & Escorts dont have the chipped key so dont have imobiliser
issues.

Got to agree with getting the pre 95 engine, the cars are peanuts.

yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
