after THREE years !!!!!!!!
Over three years of lying in my garage and a rather amateur rebuild (was my first time, you always remember your first time dont you?) the beast ran
first time!!!!
Well pretty much, in two days i took the base engine minus ancills and put it in, plumbed and wired it up. The second day (today) was spent really
checking everything on my homebrew wiring loom. Found out i needed more earthing than i had thought, this included the starter and the coil. Filling
up with water showed the pump to be leaking massively so that was out and a replacement put on, then the fuel rail started a nice leak which was also
cured. Finally time for the test run........ AND IT WORKED...... and so easily as well.

sounds just awesome...

There are a number of stages that stand out for me:
1. Sitting in the just-finished bare chassis, going "brmm - brmm" and hoping the wife wouldn't come in the garage.
2. Getting to the rolling chassis stage, wheeling it in and out of the garage.
3. Getting the engine running (took a while)
4. Taking the car up the drive under its own power to turn it round (and getting all my neighbours commenting!)
5. Getting to the point where I said "Hey! This car's nearly finished!" and realising that I'd have to arrange the SVA.
Everyone a milestone...

Getting it moving under its own power is the next step. Always a big moment getting it running for the first time

well all i need is a propshaft really and thats on order. bleeding the brakes before driving up the road would also help.
Unfortunately the reason i have taken so long to build the car has come again..... University starts next week.....
so no progress till december.....
