907 engine

having just aquired a 907 lotus engine ,i am looking at an overhaul whilst out of the car .Anyone out there know any links to places for good cheap bits

Pauls computer went bang in the storm a couple of weeks ago . He may be offline for a while . Don't think 907 and cheap go together somehow.

most of the bottom end of the 907 is shared with the old stant 4 vaxhall lump so only expensive parts are for the head unless you buy everthing from lotus

The 907 engine is an all alloy, wet liner thing and really is a load of crap. Yes from 50 paces it looks like the old cast iron slant 4, Vauxhall. The Vauxhall however is better and that's saying something! This has to be the most miserable thing ever to power a "sports car".

Before you do anything, do yourself a favour and price up the cost of pistons and liners - you will need them at some time.

does the fact im only paying 50 quid for the engine gearbox and twin dellortos make it any more apealling???
