Zetec Sumps....

Hoping that someone can give me a simple answer....I know the 1.8 CVH sump will fit on a 1.8 Zetec but does it fit the 2L too?? Are the 1.6, 1.8 and 2L Zetecs all the same block?? If so planning on getting my hands on one to cut n' shut....Also just to edge my bets...what flywheel, clutch and starter motor should I try and get my hands on to mount to a type 9??? I've heard about the 1.8L zetec flywheel being used with various Lucas starters but what have other 2L owners used??? Cheers Oli.

hi

just fitting exactlt that combination.
I have used a tiger supplied flywheel on the 2L zetec- fits with standard pinto clutch and and relase bearing, onto the type 9 gearbox, they also supplied a spigot bearing which the nose of the gearbox shaft fits into- apparently this supports it to make it reliable.

I understand the tiger flywheel is the same dimensions as a 1.8 zetec- but as always- dont quote me!!

I will be using the CVH flywheel, sump, starter and clutch. All from a Sierra.

I think a toothed wheel is needed on the front puley though to run the MJ.

the short answer is yes, it will fit, But you will have to drill and tap the block, make sure you use all the holes on the zetec sump - I didn't and have a slight oil leak which I'm going to have to fix over winter by removing the engine!

I also used a 1.8cvh flywheel and starter with no problems
