Zetec Inlet Manifold Patterns
Might as well ask those in the know...
Are all of the zetec inlet manifold layouts/patterns the same? From blacktop to silvertop and across the different sizes?
I know pinto ones are all the same, am hoping ford continued the tradition...
Cheers,
David

Bolt and port positions might be the same, but on a blacktop, for instance, the bottom front bolt is used by the alternator bracketry and the flange
profiled accordingly to avoid it.
This manifold for example, would need to be pruned to fit and is much more "rectangular & simple" than the profile of
the original blacktop plastic manifold.
In a previous post I said I'd drawn up an AutoCAD copy of the blacktop plastic manifold, sawtooth shape top etc and have confirmed by paper
print at least, that it fits. Aluminium copy to follow shortly......

If i can find my old zetec silvertop inlet manifold base plate i'll send it up to you so you can use it as a template, its of no use to me and i
might at some point be interested in a manifold to TB's at some point.

Can you not use an inlet manifold gasket?
DO NOT PUT ON KNOB OR BOLLOCKS!

Thanks bob, that sounds ideal
John N would you be able to send me a copy of the autocad drwing you have done? If so I would be most greatful.
Gazza, gaskets have a reputation of being a little inaccurate, but may be a good starting point.
Thanks gents
