Used to come as standard on the early Lotus Cortinas and Elans I believe.

Lotus used to modify the Mexico casing like this for their use in Sevens but I don't remember the LSD as part of their standard setup. They did
a 3.77:1 and a 4.12:1 ratio.

As already said alloy castings were standard fittment very early Cortina Lotus and early Lotus Elan.
Dropped around 1965 cost grounds but continued to be homologated and supplied as an RS part. When the RS version became discontinued repro items
came on to the market.
