A good days work!!!
I started the day like this....
With a Pinto
and then got as far as this...
No engine
So thought I may as well do this...
Zetec In
The ground clearance looks good, with less than an inch below the chassis..
Pink Sump. Don't ask!!!
I need to get stuck into the exhaust, fuel and wiring now while I have some free time.

From memory it is 1660 square metres. Or the short version... It's bloody big!!! 
I am doing in in the workshop at work. Loads of space and all the tools I need. Makes life much easier except I have to make my own coffee as the GF
stays at home.

It can be a problem cos with so much space you start to loose bits.
I don't like to be cramped though
I run a Vehicle PDI and Refurbishment Centre so have a bit of a luxury when it comes to working on the car. It's good to show the workforce that
I still know my way around a car!!

do the zetec use the same block and mounts as the pinto, or have you had to manufacture the some of your own mounts? is the engine lighter? what are
the power outputs etc
p.s that workshop is frickin massive!!!

Looks like some of the engine bay bits could do with a light sanding and dose of hammerite though

Tango you have caught up and passed me now i managed to get the pinto out before i buggered my knee
The only good news i have re my pinto/zetec swap is that i have now managed to collect all the parts to finish the job,knees on the mend so i'll
be back at it in the new year.
Keep us informed on the zetec work as myself and conrodkid are looking at whats best re plumbing,there seems to be a few variations in this area and
some have a lot less pipework than others for some reason.

Block is different so needs different mounts. Not to hard to fabricate.
The engine is about 20kg lighter and will hopefully put out about 170-175bhp once the TB's are set up properly.

I am trial building at the moment. Once I am happy with everything it will be coming out for a coat of paint.
Made the four branch manifold today. Well almost, just need to make the collector at the end. Next job will be the inlet manifold and the fueling.

Bob, What have you done to your knee?? The excuses some people find to avoid work.
This time last year I was lying in hospital with a broken back, skull, ribs, knees and just about everything else hurt loads. The first thing I did
when I got out was buy the Seven. I took a bit of a gamble as I couldn't sit down to test it or check it over properly. All worked out well
though as it was cheap!!
Spent the next few weeks wondering why but as soon as I could stand I started sorting the odd bits out. It speeded up my recovery no end.
I will post the details of my plumbing when I get that far. It will probably be the last bit of the transplant.

I suffer from arthitis and over the years have managed to dislocate both knees so there is no hope for me,i twisted my left knee at work a few weeks
back but hopefully i'm on the mend and wont have to go in for another clean out.
