Pinto Crankshaft Pulley Bolt
I now need to get a longer bolt as I have just made a bushing for my megajolt trigger wheel and for the life of me can't find a suitable one in
my box of bolts, is it a wierd size? I've had a look in Haynes with no luck, it takes a 3/4" spanner and looks to have quite a fine
thread.
Or even better would be if somebody else has done this and had to buy a few of the longer bolts and wants to get rid of one for a beer token that
would be great.

Measure the diameter of thethreaded section of the bolt using a micrometer or vernier. If you don't have one try putting the bolt into the jaws
of a metric spanner , IIRC pinto's use metric threads, find the one thats the best fit. For the pitch get hold of some thread gauges , they look
a bit like feeler gauges but with serated edges. Put the gauges along the threads until you find the one that fits . That should give you the diameter
and the pitch , with that you should be able to get the one you need

Looking at your avatar, you are using the early, narrow cast iron front pulley. If so obtain a bolt from Ford / scrapyard / mate etc from the later
205 engine fitted with the power steering (wide double belt) pulley. From memory that bolt is about 25mm longer than the early one.

like rusty say but if that doesn;t help, put the bolt in a vie and meaure ditance between jaws - this gives you bolt diameter.
place a piece of paper against the thread and rub with a pencil - this will do a "copy~" ofthe thread (brass rubbing principle)
measure the distance between 10 threads and divide by 10; this gives the pitch. you can measure the pitch directly on the bolt but the paper method I
have found is easier.

What length is it that you need? I have one from which I think is from the later engine as described. You are welcome to it if its of any use

Its an M12 x1.5 fine pitch bolt. 19mm head.
Its not the std fine pitch though. Its the same pitch as wheel stud interestingly enough.
If you go to an industrial fastenings place they should have what you need.
