Pinto Shortened Sump

Has anyone got Mark Allansons .pdf for his pinto sump mods.

I did have it but can't find it and the original thread link seems to be dead.

Also as my brother is a plumber would a soldered joint be OK for the shortened pick-up pipe rather than brazing?

Cheers

Hi,

I did have a copy of marks pdf but buggered if i can find it on my computer

As for the pick up pipe, i silver soldered mine together with some silver solder 'borrowed' from work. Doesnt need as much heat as brazing (~600deg instead of 800+), so is doable with a couple of blowtorches, but better than soft soldering which melts at ~200 deg IIRC depending on the alloy.
