Emissions... R1 Engine

Just had a look at my V5 document. It tells me that the SVA Emission Limit is -4.5 CO HC 0.12.

It was orginally built with a smelly old X-Flow.

I'm just switching over to a 2006 R1 lump and I'm planning to run it without the Cat. I'm guessing that this engine should remain comfortably within the limit (even without the Cat), but I could do with some re-assurance from those in the know!

Cheers

I assume those figures are for a non cat test, in which case it should be fine, my '03 injected R1 engine passed that test easily at MOT even though it should have only been a visible smoke test.

What is the limit for an 05 R1 and at what revs is it checked?
I have a power commander and a cat (does up to 1.6ltrs) and an innovate lambda gauge, so setting up an sva map should not be a problem. I just need the correct figures.
Cheers Martin

With a newly built / registered car, you're going to need to comply with the standard Cat test at SVA (whatever those figures are), they don't issue specific figures for specific engines.

The figures above are different because both mine and skootz cars were registered with older engines not requiring a cat test, therefore even though we've since changed engines to more modern ones, we still don't need to comply with Cat emission standards at MOT.
