Distributors help needed

I need to buy a distributor for my 1300xflow with twin 40s on but cant get one from the usual sources( ie scrappies and blaging.)
So i get out my Demon tweeks,Europa and Burton books, phone them up and find out they cant supply them ,none avalible .
the only one i can get is for a xflow with a modifield camshaft eg bcf1,234 244 ?

The question is will my standard 1300 xflow work and run with a dizzy thats ment for a higher state of tune?
I am not intending to change my 1300s cam but want it to run for about a year before i change it to 1600/1700
thanks for your time
barrie

If theres anyone out there that wants to sell me a lucas or bosch dizzy i have good money waiting.

Buy yourself a copy of Classic Ford magazine. Its a valuable resource of advertisers for old ford parts both standard and tuning.

You could try the one from a valencia engine (Mk4 Escort 1300 or Fiesta) also known as the HCS engine. You should find these in the scrapyard. They are based on crossflow.

yours, Pete.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

the bosch electronic one you mention is the same as fitted to late fiesta,s you can fit a fiat strada cap on that has side entry leads so the story goes somewhere in the vaults of this list

Side entry cap was for Strada Super 75 or 85. Motocraft part no. 5005566.
