Fuel Fittings

Just a few Qs before i buy my fuel line.

After reading a few old posts i assume that i wont have any problems using 8mm copper micro bore heating pipe for the main fuel line.

On my fuel tank from PTM i have two attachments one 10mm copper pipe and one 8mm, im guessing as most of the fuel pipe is 8mm the larger one is the breather pipe?

I have an electric fuel pump and a filter king pressure regulator, I was given these with the engine. Shall i have both of these next to the tank or is the regulator better near the carbs? Also with the filter king will i still need the small paper or cotton (??) inline filter.

Can i get rid of the vaccum lock thing on the pinto, i havent seen this yet, but was told it is best to get rid of, then u dont need the return pipe.

By the way, i will be running a 2.1 pinto with twin weber 45s.

Thanks

I have used 8mm rubber fuel pipe on my car and found that it leaks where attached to the fuel tank. I have changed the pipe several times and tested on different tightnesses but still leaks so gonna try 6mm which has been suggested.

Hope this helps and i'll post the results

Andy, you using jubilee clips ? or proper hose clips ?

Jubilee clips can pinch and make the pipe leak
