Timing???

Does anyone have a rough idea what the timing should be set at for a
2ltr Pinto with a fast cam and twin 40's. My cam has proved to be
imposible to identify, so I was wondering if there is a norm. The
timing is currently set at 8 degrees BTDC.
Cheers,
Pat...

6 degrees.

That's the standard setting for a 2 litre running unleaded so you're not far out. If it runs o.k. I wouldn't worry about it. Most engines seem to rev freer when advanced a bit from the manufacturers settings so you might want to experiment, but I wouldn't be tempted to go too far.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
