JP's Vectis

So I was chatting with JP at the weekend and discovered that he has the original Vectis demonstrator which he built as Sylva Autokits, for sale on pistonheads.

Just thought I'd share this

Cracking car!

Such a shame that no one makes the kit any more.

OMG! JP's last car!
Gotta be some heritage value in this! Wish the JPSC had the funds to buy it...but what to do with it?

HI All,
See Jeremy's comment below, it appears this isn't JP's last built car, but it may well be the last registered one! Unless anyone knows what David Mcbean did with the Green one?
Edd

>>Good morning Ed, good to hear from you.

That’s an interesting idea. To be honest it is not the last car I built. That honour goes to the green car pictured.
This went to David MacBean after he bought the company. I did not however put it through the IVA or register it with the DVLA.
In fact I wonder if it has ever been registered. I have not heard from David and have no idea if the company still exists.

The blue car has been with me longer than any other and it will be a sad day when it leaves my garage.
I had contemplated fitting a roll bar and removing the screen to fit a Perspex one like the green car for track days.

However; My attention of late has been drawn to sailing and at 72 I am considering a home built dinghy ......

It would be lovely to think Q775WAF could go to someone who would drive and enjoy it as I have.
I have not had any response to the PH add so am open to sensible offers before the inevitable eBay add!

Best wishes,
Jeremy
