Newark Kit Car Show

Hi all,

As promised I am planning to attaned Newark Show next month. I plan to arrive Friday evening, throw the tent up and pop into Newark for a curry!
I'll set up the gazebo and everything else Saturday morning!

Can I have a hands up to who is planning to come and when? Also, if you are staying overnight Saturday night when I plan to have a BBQ/Drinks/Chat etc! Not going to hold anyone to thier comments! Just an idea of how much food/refreshments to bring!

Lastly, since I have sold Striker last year, and family pressures mean this may very well be my last kitcar show. I am happy to babysit the JPSC if that's what everyone wants, but unless someone else happy to do the shows then JPSC may not have as large a presence i.e. Gazebo and Kettle etc in the years to come.

Look forward to seeing some of you in a few weeks.

Many thanks
Edward.

Hmm, weather is looking really bad at the moment for Saturday so may be looking at going on Sunday at the moment unless things change.

I live 10 minutes up the road….tipping down. A short break at lunchtime then resumes tipping down for the rest of the day. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow…..gutted, and so sorry for those who put in so much effort to get the show on.

Rain on and off and multiple tarps tied around the gazebo but we've managed a BBQ.
JPSC have a car on the pitch (mine) so we're above average There does seem to be a higher than normal percentage of "usable all weather cars" about.

The sun's out (for now) and the winds blowing the tents dry

If you're coming today, I suggest as early as you can. I anticipate those who've come and camped in kits may be making an early exit to beat the weather.

Omg that stuff that falls from the sky that sustains all life. Better stay at home with my waterproof skin.

1. Get motorbike commuting suit
2. Get motorbike helmet.
3. ???????
4. PROFIT

It really is that simple. Drove 500 miles home in the rain from Applecross and I was dry as a bone.

HI,
Good to meet those that managed to fidn the wether window!
Saturday was a total washout with just me and Adi, and a few vsiitors, but no cars bar Adis.
Sunday was better and had 4 or 5 cars during the day!
BBQ was a quiet affair but I think Adi appreciated my cooking lol!
Real shame about the weather, but I also think the organisors need to consider that dates for next years shows and avoid start/end of school holidays!
Any Mugs/Keyrings left....can now be posted if you 'd like to PM me an address and i'll work out postage later in the week!
Ithin kmax 2 mugs each but can have as monay keyrings as you like...
BR
Edward.
