hi,update on my Vosa application. Recipts ( not hand writern ) and photos needed even after i explaned i bougth it as a track car . For the photos they said strip to chassis and re-build and recipts find them! O dear looks like hours of fun ( NOT ) , anybody else had this happen, any advice welcome
yep, happened to quite a few. remember the point of an amateur buid car is that its supposed to be you that built it. you always need build photos.
receipts is usually only if you are going for a new or age related plate. if you go for a Q it shouldn't matter, but if they want them as proof
YOU built the car, there's no way around it.
still, they've told you how to get around it
i fyou bought it to be a track car, and won't drive it on the road but trailer it, then you shouldn't need it registered, so depends on what
you want to do with it really.

For IVA manual

According to Annex 2, it does seem that you need to have built it yourself and not work be a professional builder of cars if you want to IVA it.
1)A vehicle is an amateur built vehicle if -
(a) the vehicle was -
i) constructed or assembled or
ii) having previously been registered under the 1994 Act, structurally modified, for the

who is a relevant individual, and
(b) the whole, or a substantial part, of the construction, assembly or modification was carried out
i) by 'R'
ii) by one or more relevant individuals acting on behalf, and under the direction of 'R' or
iii) by 'R' and one or more relevant individuals acting on behalf, and under the direction of '
2) For the purposes of this paragraph, a relevant individual in relation to a motor vehicle is an
individual who does not, at any time during the period when the construction or assembly of the
vehicle was being carried out, carry on a business in the course of which motor vehicles are
normally constructed, assembled or modified
Have seen posts on site saying no recipts or photos for Q reg , now know different.
You don't really want to have to remove the panels if they have been bonded on, as it will destroy them and it would be tricky to get the new
ones to line up with the rivet holes.
I guess you could get a receipt from the seller of the car that calls is a "complete kit of parts" and then lists the items included.
Photos will be more difficult if you don't want to strip the car and also want to be honest.

Its an MK Indy...... I'm sure there are plenty of photos of bare chassis floating around, maybe someone will be nice and send you a CD-R with them on.
