Anyone speak spanish? What does this mean? I tried google translate but I'm wondering if there was something lost in context.
"Que maquina mas vieja, no se comparan con las de aqui"
'That older machines don't compare to those here...'
But.......I could be wrong.....

cool, that makes sense. I think
Are they saying that older machines are not as as good as those newer ones in question?

I have a headache now.
I agree with Steve here,.......not knowing the author, or indeed the context, I would expect to see.....
'las máquinas más viejas son más superior que los más nuevos'
(Translation of above.....
'the older machines are more superior than the newer ones....' )
If he meant that the older machines were superior......
Just my opinion of the given info......

What machine more old? Not something to buy from them here.
Compran/comprar is buy/bought.
Mas is more.
con is with.
And of course Que (a key) is what. As said by manwell when being slapped by Basil.

I still can't figure out what they're on about on here half the time, so you've done well! That TOEFL is not an easy test either. Most Anglos couldn't do anywhere near that well.

In that context it probably means more like....
quote:
Wow, look what this guy made for £250
Don`t trust google translate, when doing a website for my parents, :
"a house for rent, for a minium of 3 weeks"
Google Traslation
"bike hire for a minium of three weeks"
Darren

if two items were superior to a third, could you not choose which of the two was most superior?

My guess is:
Que des machines plus anciennes, ne se compare pas à ceux qui sont ici......![]()
