garage19 - 13/10/04 at 06:51 AM

Unless I come along in my white van I have no wheels? Can I grab a ride with anyone?

midlifecrisis - 13/10/04 at 01:42 PM

What about this coming Sunday?

David Jenkins - 13/10/04 at 07:41 PM

The weather forcast isn't good...

...which pees me off greatly, as it'll be my first opportunity to legally drive the car where I want.

rgds,

David

type 907 - 16/10/04 at 04:04 PM

Hi All,

With a forcast of showers, is it best to take a "raincheck" till next Sunday morning ?

I will go with the flow.

Paul G

p.s. Did you get your plates David ?

David Jenkins - 16/10/04 at 06:09 PM

Yep - up and running!

I've only managed a few miles round the block, though - and then I had to wipe all the mud off my rear wings...

I'm still wary of going too far... I want to work carefully up to the longer distances, especially after my initial SVA fiasco.

cheers,

David

midlifecrisis - 16/10/04 at 06:19 PM

I'm not too fussed ,I'll go with the flow too . Been out today ,blatting around in Braintree area , not too cold . Paul ,rING ME ,COS i MAY PAY YOU A VISIT TAMARA(SUNDAY) Rgds ROD

Craig,

You waiting for the Ipswich DVLA to send the stuff? Only I spoke to their 'kit car man' Graham Feest on Friday, and he said that he'd put 18 registrations in the post, but not all of them would go out that day (mine did! ) - maybe yours will arrive on Mon/Tues.

Cross your fingers!

David

David

midlifecrisis - 21/10/04 at 11:37 AM

David Jenkins - 22/10/04 at 12:30 PM

Just had another look at the Met Office website... there's a risk of it being dry on Sunday...

I'm up for giving it a go on Sunday ,so someone let me know what we're gonna do ? ROD

tractorboy - 22/10/04 at 09:18 PM

im up 4 it sunday ,especially if that round yellow thing makes an appearance! mind you ill have to give the car a dusting first ,crack out the pledge!

David Jenkins - 23/10/04 at 02:46 PM

Lifted off Anglia TV's website:

Sunday: Rain clearing in the east to leave sunshine and showers.

So vague as to be useless...

Still - got out for a decent drive this morning, for a bigger 'round the block' of around 20 miles. Starting to get more relaxed with it now.

DJ

midlifecrisis - 23/10/04 at 05:30 PM

So, shall we decide at the last minute, say 9am in the morning ,what to do?

Evidence that it does go out in less-than-perfect conditions...

Nice morning out - apart from the starter's bendix jamming, again! - thanks to everyone who gave me a push-start.

Is that HP sauce all over the mudguard?
Only 11 more meets to go.

We had a vote after you'd gone David.

Unanimous. Removing the starter motor
to save weight is going toooooo far.

Many thanks to the man in the green suit
for the oxygen.
