I have to drop out, I'm afraid. I took the car out for a post-winter shakedown yesterday and the temp gauge was reaching 120 degrees! The car runs a stock 4AGE waterpump and remote Toyota thermostat and neither part is going to be available at Halfrauds on a Sunday. I've checked for airlocks and drained/re-filled the cooling system but I still have a problem. I'm tempted to re-plumb the car without a heater and 'stat but don't have all the hoses and joiners I'd need in order to do this.

If there's anyone on the reserve list could you pass this message on to them.

halfords sell those flexible hoses, surely you can bodge a replumb? I soldered 28mm copper into 35mm copper yesterday, to cobble it together!
