bout time we had a meet, anyone else agree.
Yep.

Me too, hopefully when I have registration number and its not raining
Caber
I agree but will discuss at another time just in from autosport weekend and up at 5

Been along time since i been here but I have been reading
anyways i'd be up for a meet
Yep - I need some enthusiasm after the last few months. The crux of meets always seems to be the venue. I'm fairly easy on a location in the
central belt.
Cheers
sounds good
That is, if you don't mind a 'not quite' locost builder turning up in a tin-top
I have a Sylva, an ugly one, so don't worry about it.
JC and I can discuss GRP restoration techniques................
Location, location, location? without the two posh twats!
McDonalds at South Queensferry, Beefeater at Livingston or somewhere of the Bypass. But im open to ridicule for these suggestions
I vote somewhere off the bypass because it's nearer to JC and he always comes through to the west.
Fair's fair.
The only 2 places i can think of at the bypass are the steading by the ski centre or Little (robbing barstewart) chef at Draghorn.

OK Lets talk about a date -
If others aren't happy about location it could be changed.
Weekend 19/20th - 26/27th January? I'm pretty easy. Or could be an evening during the week but not ideal...
I'd be keen to try and get a regular meeting going like some of the lads in England. The venue could obviously rotate to suit everyone.
the Steading or anywhere else near the bypass, isn't far for me (I'm actually in East Lothian)
I stopped at the Steading for 2 secs yesterday - it looked ok
as for a date, just about any weekend or evening is fine for me if its near Edinburgh
[Edited on 17/1/08 by mcerd1]
Anytime and place for me after the 19th/20th January. Its my mates 40th on the Saturday and we are having an evening of light refreshments

SeaBass We have met before. At a rather wet East Fortune in 2005. You will probably remember me taking this picture

Yes, would be interested to.
Anywhere near the bypass is good for me, I know the Steading well, used to work at the Ski Centre!
Cheers
Ian

Davie
Lads
Chances are that I won't now be able to make it along. Running repairs ongoing with SWMBOs car and I don't want to consider the implications
of failure in this department.
All the best and I hope you all have a good time.
^^^^^^^^^^
As above i won't be able to make it. Just been out in the tin top and its wandering all over the road. I think a track rod end or ball joint has
packed in. It has about an inch of toe out
: B*****S i think cars don't like me
Have fun lads
Ronnie
Dave,
Sorry for late reply ....
I'll be at Harthill service station at 2pm. Leave after ~ 10-15 mintes.
This should give me plenty of time to get to meeting place.
cheers
Jim
Jim
I will be there for 2
Davie
Good to put faces to some names. Here is a list of what i think i need done before considering sva.
Some of the interior needs finishing.
Fuel pipe bracket
Front brake pipe needs to be replaced
bits need painting some surface rust.
fit new tacho when it arrives
fit speed sensor.
fit reverse light
fixing for top rad hose
cycle wings nosecone and bonnet to be fitted
adjust camber and tracking
So if anyone is up for a work party at my place lets get something organised, the pies and coffee are on me. I would really like to take this to
stoneleigh this year dont care if it makes it back though.
Dave,
Stick up a couple of dates .... I'm ok to help most Sunday afternoons, and should make some Saturdays ....
Yep - Sundays normally good for me too. I've lots of little "bits and bobs" that could be useful for finishing the car kicking about if
you need anything.
Cheers
James
