ebay for plastic caps

Not sure i'd want to weld the ends up myself. Open ends mean you can get a waxoyl lance in there for starters

Think you can get them from tifosi too!

No, I meant metal sheet to weld over the open ends?

He's not looking for plastic plugs, he want 1,5mm thick mild steel squares.

Bugger! Must type faster.

Buy a strip of 25 X 1.5 or even 1 mm roughly the length you need to cover all + 15% and with shears cut off pieces slightly longer than 25 mm , weld on 3 sides and grind 4th side flush with angry grinder then weld - easy peasy.

I cut the lengths 25mm longer than needed, chop out 3 of the sides for a length of 25mm at the end, fold the remaining tab over and weld the three edges.

If that's confusing, it's more difficult to describe than to do it

I have cut a strip from leftovers of my steel floorplate.
