Roll cage, where from
marcjagman - 5/1/10 at 03:00 PM

Decided to have a roll cage but I will also be having a roof, so where can I get a cheap one from. Very tight budget unfortunately. Any ideas? Can one be easily made?

You can make one but you'ld need to be a seriously good welder (or trust someone who is) and you'ld need the right equipment to bend the tubes.....

As mentioned a few posts ago, try Caged.

Just been looking on ebay, 2 90 deg bends and 4 metres in 42mm tube £45 delivered. Not bad, could probably buy tubing locally cheaper but £15 for the 2 bent parts delivered is quite good I think.

Have a chat with Welderman. I got roll cage seamless tube, bent + rear legs and diagonal much larger than the standard westfield (have your head higher than the roll bar) size for what i think is a good price.

Nice chap to deal with as well - still haven't fitted it yet mind you.

I wouldn't give him a penny of my money for anything to do with steel...

He's a complete charlatan...

Having said that - I could be just jealous of hs awesome fabrication prowess...
