First time pass at Southampton
GH1985 - 12/2/09 at 06:53 PM

Hi everyone, just driven the MK Indy home after just scraping a pass at Southampton.
Several things were just on the limit, noise at 101 db, seat belt mounting height only just in.
Examiner Andy was very fair. Initially we had problems with fuzzy dipped beam pattern, so had to go to Halfords and get a new bulb. Also had to cover up a few sharp edges in passenger footwell. Also slight adjustment needed to steering to increase clearance from rims to wishbones on full lock.
Overall a great day, not half as bad as we feared.
Thanks to all that write on the forum, although we have not been very active in posting, we have been gradually gaining knowledge by reading all of your posts.
Just the DVLA to contend with now !
Good luck to all those with SVA to come.
Cheers from Graham (MK indy with Pinto)

Congratulations, it's a great feeling isn't it? Take it steady out there until you're familiar with the handling and you'll enjoy the summer (April 6th to 10th)

Top Job

I had my Indy SVA @ Southampton with Andy - top bloke! He put me at ease straight away and gave the feeling that he wanted to get you/car through the test.

DVLA, reg, tax and plates - you should be on the road by the e/o Feb
