I have a switch in the brake line
thats pressure opperated but
only works b/light on fairly heavy braking.
Is this the norm or poss duff switch always
fear under light braking no one behind can see
im stoppin. Wondered wat others are using if a
pedal opp switch how have you mounted it.

I have a pressure operated switch for my brake lights, screwed into a "spare" port on the master cylinder, and it is *very* sensitive. The slightest tap on the pedal puts the lights on.

i wired the lights up on my indy the other night and my brake lights come on with "light breaking"

think you might have a bad switch andy

I would say the switch sounds dodgy, should come on under very light braking.

Brake light switches come in various pressure ratings... IIRC 3 bar and 7 bar. You may have the latter as our's comes on pretty easily... did you buy it from MK?

Will have to see if any markins are on it

mines the same only works under heavy breaking. can u not get an adjustable version, we have them at work on the hydraulic lines of our tipper dropsides. its a much higher pressure but there must be other versions.

aah, have you fitted it so its above the pipe, known issue is air getting trapped here thus making it difficult to come on.
