
Have done a search but not come up with an answer.
We have the engine turning over but have no spark, we have voltage at the top of the plug and to the injectors but it will not spark
It is a 2003 R1 5PW
Anyone have any ideas
Tilt switch? Is "UP" on the top face?

Yes switch is up with the up on the top and we have glued the switch/rocker in position
Are you sure it didn't move after you put the plue in? Mine did as I pushed it back into the housing.
Stop switch wires connected?

I think fault 22 is the air temp sensor is not connected this will prevent the engine from starting
This is the sensor which lives in the airbox

Fitted air temp sensor and fault code '22' has gone
, but still no spark 
Think 19 is the side stand.
Are the injectors firing? If not then check the connection to the crank sensor.

Code 19 refers to: Open circuit, side stand switch, in other words, either the sidestand switch is broken or some cable connection or cable from it is loose or cut off.
I had a similar problem and found that I had a poor earth on one of my wires ( it was that long ago I have forgotten which one)
once I got a good earth she fired up
Still have engine management light on the clocks but it flashes as we turn the engine over.
I guess this light should not be on either

Greg had the same problem on his, ended up being a dodgy connection on the wire that feeds the plugs. (black and red i think)

I had a similar problem all i can say is trace everything back from source with reference to the haynes manual and check the continuity on all the
major wires from ecu and starter relay to sensors like clutch stand etc.
Might also be worth running diagnostics and checking if the plugs fire in diagnostics mode under code 30-33 i think. Then atleast you know if they
work and your just being held back by starter logic.

Hi mate, A tip malc told us to do when mine didnt start was to remove the spark plugs and clean the tip with brake fluid
not to sure if it will help in your case but might be worth a try

Have managed to get the spark plugs to fire in diagnostic mode, all 4 have sparked so at least we know that they will fire once they get their
signal.
Must be something else, side stand in diagnostic mode says it is extended but we have shorted that circuit, should the starter cutoff relay click when
side stand circuit is opened or closed
Have you got a european loom with a cyclelock. With jims help we worked around the cycle lock - mess of black wires dont know if you need to do something simiar
Hi the code 19 is stand swich it wont satrt without this closed so join wires together and make sure its done
also check the earth on loom and main to battery make sure there good
last thing do you have a red connector with a thin blue/black and blue/yellow nr main ignition wireswire in it if so connect these together

taken from chocky mosters blog have you done these. Mine wasnt quite the same main difference being connect black and black from blue 8 pin connector
- start
Main Switch (Red 2 pin connector) [1 on Yamaha wiring diagram]
Join Blue/Black --> Blue / Yellow
Main switch (White 2 pin connector)
Join Brown / Blue --> Red (connected via the ignition switch)
Right Handlebar switch (Blue 6 pin connector) [59 on Yamaha wiring diagram]
Join Red /Black --> Red White (Engine kill)
Side stand (2 pin Blue connector) [11 on Yamaha wiring diagram]
Join Black --> Blue / black
Left handlebar (10 pin white connector) [41 on Yamaha wiring diagram]
Join Blue / Yellow -> Black yellow (Clutch)
Fuel Pump (Green connector) [52 on Yamaha wiring diagram]
Use Red / blue as Fuel pump positive, this is fed by a relay in the start circuit cut-off switch. As a temporary measure I have a switch in the
connection so that I can stop the pump from firing.
