Hi.
What is the general consence on fixing an EFI fuel pump - which in my smallish knowledge vibrates a lot:
2 / 4 bobbins or just a rubbered large clip?

I don't think the efi pump should vibrate a lot, but I used a piece of rubber hose and a metal jubilee clip to mount mine. one point to bear in
mind is where you are mounting it. Efi pumps require gravity/forced feed of fuel, so mounting it well below the level of the fuel tank is
recommended, either that or the twin pump and swirl pot arrangement.

most production ones come inside a thick rubber sleeve. This is then hard mounted to the car using brackets.
I wrapped mine in thick neoprene foam rubber (from an old mouse mat!) and then attached it using two 5mm wide cable ties.
It's been there for 14 months and 4000 miles and never been any trouble.
For what it's worth I sleeved the pump with a piece of fuel filler hose and made an ali P-shaped clip.

I wouldn´t recommend ally, because it get hairthickness cuts very fast...
I just grabbed the complete setup from the sierra!! incl the pump itself...
take your battery drill and a 5mm drill and with 3 drills you takeaway the complete setup from the car..
it comes complete with rubber mountings etc.. then on the chasis 3drills 3 pops and voilla!! like orignal and brand new..
wil make a pic..
Tks
Thanks you very much for your replies.
