just so you know mate Bike emissions are sky high compared to a car and you will never pass the test without somekind of decent CAT and the powercommander
even then its not a bed of roses

U2U me when you need a CAT I have on with a Can aswell to rent

Where can I buy a decent cat for the same 05 engine?
I have seen some on ebay that are quite small and say they do up to 1.6 ltr.

I bought a similar thing. My plan is to SVA the car, register on a Q & never have to worry about emissions again (fingers crossed) so I'll be flogging my cat & replacing with a straight through pipe as soon as the test is done. So keep an eye on the for sale section for a nice cat - used once......;^) - OK twice - there's a retest coming up!
I've welded a stainless tube onto the cat just the right size to clamp on the titanium pipe going into the R1 can & thus solve the 'connecting up' issues with that.

How much did the USA cat cost in total to get delivered, including import tax etc?

I paid "custom chrome racing" 123.40 + vat for a 2.25" bore "sports cat"

Just paid for the US Cat from the ebay link. Cost £53 including postage. Checked with Customs website and 3% tax plus vat brings the total to around £62.
Not bad for a stainless item.
