do i have to mount my centre bearing on the drivers sidewall? cant i put it on the floor position where the type9 box would have been mounted? Ive got my engine in the bay now on wood blocks, but not too sure if its in the right postion. I could really do with seeing abother blade engined mk engine bay.....

Prop centre mtg will go on the centre tunnel on the drivers side. There was two holes there for it on my chassis.

The Sierra centre bearing may be too wide to fit in the bottom of the tunnel. Mounting it on the side gives a better angle for the front half of the propshaft from what I have seen of them.

Just been looking on your archive Stevec, was the two holes on the upright where the tunnel starts to widen.

I dont hink i have them as ive got the older type chassis. So ill need to weld another bit of steel to the chassis to fit it.

Same for me, I bought mine part built.
Owner was putting a zetec in, but I soon sold that in favour of the r1 lump.
Mk Sent me a plate to weld in, but I might do it on raised brackets off the gbox mounts like jimgiblett's pics.
