Hi,

Does anyone know if clocks from a 4XV will work ok with a 5JJ engine?

Cheers,

Chris.

No, they won't if you want to just plug in and go.

does anyone know if i can change the clocks on a 05 r1, there's not part of the immobalise or anything silly like that are they?

yes i believe you can swap the clocks over. the imobiliser is in the back of the key barrel which doesnt connect directly to the clocks, it connects to the part of the loom that goes to the ECU

Thanks for the confirmation Coose, i'll keep looking then :-)

Ecu is different!

No worries. As TimC says, the ECU is different as is the temp sender/fan control.

A set will turn up if you bide your time. In fact, there is a set here, though not cheap. Saying that, they are the going rate as they generally get damaged in a crash and they're a lot cheaper than most aftermarket clocks!

Actually, have a look here. These could be a bargain, but make sure that they're the ones in the photo as the listing is incorrect if they are!
