Anybody know the rev limit on the 5VY?

Mine's going on the rolling road tomorrow so I need to find this out before I go - it doesn't seem to be in the manuals?

Claimed peak horsepower is 180bhp at 12,500 rpm.
Claimed peak torque is 81.2 ft lb at 10,500 rpm.
Redline is at 13,750 rpm

Just as an aside, at what revs is the best gearchange point, say for a shift light setup?

Presumably if you change up at or around peak power, it will drop you back into the point of max torque.

If your taking it to a rolling road let them tell you what the max revs are,they will run it up until it hits the rev limiter anyway,they will also tell you at what rev's max power is produced as well as the max torque figure,here's my utube of my zx10r on the rolling road,you can hear it hit the rev limiter at the end of the run.

I needed to know the rev limit as I'm not running a stock ECU.

Sadly the session didn't go to well as we couldn't stop it spinning the rear wheels at anything over quarter throttle! It was strapped down as much as possible but no chance! It was on wets and these started blistering so we stopd the session.

I've taken it back since with a set of standard road tyres on just to try it and it was fine with no wheelspin, so I've got another mapping session booked in a few weeks. It looks silly sitting on 185/60's when it's normally on 11" slicks!

I'll let you know how I get on.
