Mazda Miata Donor car- What to take ?

I found one that was run over by a garbage truck (SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!) and I can get it cheaply.. What works ? What can i scrap ?

What you want/need depends upon the spec of the car you will build.

I have built a Stuart Taylor car with the Miata/MX5 engine and manual gearbox. I have then joined this to a Ford Escort live axle. Have a look in my photo archive. Send me email/U2U if you want any other info/pictures.

Ben Chapman (the Aussie in the link above) used the whole rear end of the car, including the diff' and rear suspension - I didn't

I am hoping to have my car finished and on the road by the end of March this year - hopefully!

I did the opposit to JAG - used the suspension uprights, driveshafts & wheels.
We should have done a deal...........

I took it one step further than BobC. I yanked the master cylinder and calipers as well.

You should probably take the steering rack, column, u joints and the entire drivetrain, including the PPF.

Wheels and seats are probably a good idea as well.
