yea i know its in search somewhere but i cant find it.
tax is up end of this month,i think i read somewhere you could download a form to save me having an argument/paying for MOT test as my car is registered as "first reg 2008" but tax renewal form says i need an MOT cert, its a Q plate btw

think someone said if you do it on line (which i recommend anyway) it checks the system automatically to make sure if you have/need one.

Here you go
http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/

It's on the reminder letter along with a magic number that means less typing.

Not sure this will get around the 'computer says MOT required' problem. I also seem to remember some form you fill in declaring you don't need one - I'll have a look.

I recently had this issue (on a age related plate)

tried online,..... no current MOT for this vehicle

tried the post office...... sorry sweatiee, computer says no (no current MOT for this vehicle)

went to local DVLA office with the form, no problem sir, 6 or 12 months
