Quick Q

Had a look on Matts post RE fixing the rear shelf down and the verdict seems to be that it would be OK.... however, I really really like the looks of the MNR rear defuser. If I perminantly fixed both of these would it be taking the wee wee a bit, or would it be advisable to make at least one of these removable? If I don't Mr IVA would not be able to see anything behind the drivers seat, electrical, brake / fuel pipes suspension you get the idea.

Regards

John

Hi John

When I SVA'd mine I had a rigid plastic cover on. Tester viewed everything from underneath.
I would leave the diffuser off until after the test - no point in failing on something that is easily avoided.
Your choice of course.

That's what I was thinking, I've not bought the diffuser and it will be the last thing that I do buy...

The IVA inspector is not allowed to remove panels and covers. BUT he is at liberty and has the authority to ask YOU to remove them, so that he can carry out his inspection to his own satisfaction. If you can't he has the power to fail the car, and ask that it be brought back in 'and inspectable condition', to use their own gobbledy gook.

I've seen it done. Lucky I anticipated it and took the necessary tools.

Cheers,
Nev.
