Evening all,
Starting to spec up the exhaust on a Spire, but I can't really decide what the IVA rules mean..
Would the exhaust exit below be acceptable if the exhaust tip was either rolled, or in-board of the bodywork? It would exit the top surface and bend
90 degs to the rear. Obviously I'd modify the body so it wraps over the exhaust.
What do you guys think?

Well that's what I was leaning towards.. I assume it's mainly an exterior projections issue:
"An exhaust tailpipe must not project beyond the floor line lying directly above it by more than 10mm, unless it terminates in a radius of
curvature of at least 2.5mm and in all cases project no more than 150mm."
So if it has a 2.5mm radius and it terminated within the body, that's ok?
Thanks.
Thats how I read it.
I'd aim to have it protrude a little bit. There might be a temdancy to suck gasses back under the cover otherwise.
High exit shouldn't be an issue as the new Porsche (918?) has twin pipes exiting on top of the engine cover I think.
I'd agree with that. Sidepipes aren't under a floor or have any surrounding bodywork, and they just have to meet radius requirements.
