Congratulations on the pass, well done. This is very close to my heart as I am very near to completion of the Phoenix and the dreaded Test.

A couple of questions if I may;

Was this a first time pass?
Were there any comments made by the Examiner that would help us.
Why did you need an MOT. I had thought that it was not required.

Best wishes

John

Passed first time, pulled me up on petrol pipe chafing on main feed to alternator, he didnot check things like play in ball joints, just build quality and safety issues. So i had to get MOT.

Congrats well done
It's nice to know it was'nt a serious fault he found "petrol pipe chafing on main feed to alternator"
BUT
Did he say you needed an MOT to find the minor faults like worn out balljoints?

zxrlocost - 12/2/07 at 07:25 PM

hi well done but for the record everyone you dont have a MOT before or after SVA for three years

you can have yourself a MOT checkover

basically you dont watn mr MOT man to enter any of your car details into the Computer or you will get reminders etc etc

and loads of hassle of dvla

mac1ZR - 12/2/07 at 07:41 PM

Congratulations, well done, but you really dont need an MOT, as previous post advises. You dont need an MOT for three years, but you will need one this time next year if you start the ball rolling!!

Well done that man. Another first time pass. Can I do the same in the near future? Is it the DVLA insisting on a MOT?
