Hi all
Can anyone recommend a supplier of self-adhesive number plates? I need a custom size though,
I have found a few on the web , but i cant find anyone who will do a custom size plate and font
It’s for the nose cone on a seven and standard size vinyl wont contour easily
Cheers
I think youve raise a few legal implicatipns...
Number plates are regulated in terms of size, font and material in the the UK. There are lots more regs but these are the points youve raised. Also I
have read about painted or contoured plates being questioned by police officers as they are not camera friendly.

made mine up.... They appear to be happy to do pretty much any plate size / shape / font... Give 'em a ring....
On standard number plates the area around the letters / digits is larger than it actually needs to be...
So you can get an adhesive plate and cut it down and size-wise and fontswise (if you keep the standard font) it will stick be legal....
The legality of stick-on plates (especially when on a non-vertical surface) is a different question though...

It is perfectly allowable. But not to meet the legal requirements for displaying a number plate.
I think you might struggle to justify that a windscreen constitutes the "front" of the car. Somehow, unless you could convince someone that you had just put it there because it had fallen off and it was the only way to display the plate temporarily you might struggle. Having said that, you might get away with it.
i was thinking it would be forward facing and clearly visible, and almost vertical
