
Well arrived at Beverly 8 sharp and a little wet!
1st thing checked was emissions, failed on lambda but co and hc were fine.
1DB up on the meter too but that was down to me un-balancing the carbs trying to pass emissions which the examiner agreed made it louder.
Everything else sailed through tho so cant grumble really!
Any ideas how i can improve the lambda reading??

Your going to need some sort of air bleed system, either expensive closed loop lambda or snoopys budget fishtank valve affair. The latter seems to do
the trick for next to nothing, so definately worth contactng MK for advice.

Yeah the examiner mentioned something about a fishtank valve thingy he had seen that seemed to work so il have a word with mk

also try dodgy rogers site in the link pages hes got a couple of photos and explanation(its for a blade engine but the principle is there)

At sva my lambda came in ok at 4k rpm, but this was to high for test, I managed to get through by holding it on the high side. Can you adjust your rev
counter to read about 1k rpm to low as they only went off this for revs.

cunning plan tho i like it! Yes- usually they use their own connector to assess RPM for emissions but rely on your own for noise......
Hence having the tacho reading low might be useful for dB as long as they don't notice during the emissions test.........
