R1 Locost First Time Pass at Gillingham Today! YIPEE!

Went to Gillingham today, and im pleased to say that the R1 Locost passed with only 2 minor adjustments needed. Brake Bias needed changing to make the fronts lockup before the rears, and the headlights needed minor height adjustment.

However made the silly mistake of running out of fuel on the way home. DOH thank goodness for the jerry can.

Now looking forward to some days out on the road once i get my plates.

Thanks to everyone on the board here who has given me help over the last 3 Years. Hopefully ill be able to give back some help to others now.

Chris

After the tester drove the car round the test circuit (in the rain) he said the rears were locking before the fronts, so he gave me 5 mins to adjust it. I wound the rear pushrod in and the front one out. He then retested the car and said it was fine. He was also happy that the bias bar was locked of with double lock nuts, despite me having been told by many people that id have to drill the bias bar etc etc, which i was never happy to do to as i felt it would weaken the bar.

Going to DVLA maidstone on monday to do the paperwork, and im told they may just issue the plates without inspection, but i doubt it.

i also dont think youll be on the road the same weekend, cos it normally takes a couple of weeks so im told.

Good luck anyway.
