IVA fee

hi all
Ive read references to the increased cost
of the forthcoming IVA fee but have not seen any where the proposed amount.
Can someone enlighten me please.

Spoke to CraigR on this forum when i picked up some seats and im pretty sure he said something along the lines of 500!!

The most common figure thats got banded about is £480

The proposed fee is £540, it's in the DfT consultation document here: http://www.dft.gov.uk/consultations/closed/typeapproval/consultationdocument.pdf (page 31).

Think it was £150 + plus retest fees of £50 a pop

Extract from regs :-

57. The vehicles listed below are outside the mandatory scope of the Directive. These vehicles will still have to be registered with DVLA or DVA if they are to be used on the public road, as is required today, but proof of type approval will not be required. The Directive nevertheless offers manufacturers the option of applying for type approval or individual vehicle approval, if they wish. If they do apply, they must show that vehicles satisfy the relevant technical requirements of the Directive.
