Stopping the steering flapping

What can i use to hold the steering column in place. Iv been looking at rose joints but none i have looked at say what the internal diameter is (my steering shaft is 16mm).

Cheers. Do you think it will be a problem if the joint cant be removed without having to cut the shaft as i need to weld it to the uj?

Oh right. Didnt see them on the site
