How about Aberdeen? That's a bit north of Newcastle and more north east.

Ne7ers meet at the Church Mouse on the A167 between Chester le Street and Durham on the last Wednesday of the month.

There is a locost meet somewhere in Blyth, I think the first Tuesday of the month at the Seahorse?
