So I had fixed the bleed issue as have built all the car back up ready for its maiden voyage under its own power on to the drive and the rear deems have completely seized!! I only refitted the drums yesterday and they went over the shoes fine after I had adjusted them in a bit, but now they are fixed firmly in the 'this cars going nowhere' position

I need to get the drums off and investigate but they obviously wont budge. Help?

I feel like a bit of a pray having to ask all the time, I just don't want to brake/bodge anything.

did you adjust the brakes while the car was on stands? then let it down on its wheels?

Let pressure out of the rear system via the bleed nipple. Slacken handbrake adjusters right off. You should be able to remove drums. Release the auto adjusters on the brake shoe link bar just below the wheel cylinder and let them return to the start position. Drums back on and let the shoes adjust up automatically by operating the footbrake. Only then should you adjust the handbrake cable to take out the slack. You should not use the handbrake adjusters to take slack out of the rear brakes/adjust them. Leave this to the autoadjusters.

It's not the handbrake I've adjusted, it was the auto adjuster so I could get the drums back on.

Open a bleed nipple for a second or two to release any hydraulic pressure, if the brake releases it is hydraulic lock.

Just gone out to the car and it's cured itself! Confused and rather concerned.

The plot thickens...

Issue 1 - Drums 'seize' when either wheels are on and drone up fully or when just drums are on and have nuts one and done up to secure them. If nuts are loosened drums free off.

Issue 2 - I have bled the brakes with an eazi bleed and with an assistant to pump the pedal and brakes are still spongy, though work a little (tested with rear in air and engine running, drums slow but don't stop)

Bump. Any thoughts on the Above? I have tried backing the automatic adjusters off as far as they will go but drums still catching when done up securely.

Also any thoughts on not being able to get a firm pedal?
