Do you reuse the brake dust shields on the Haynes roadster? I can't see mention of them in the book but wanted to double check before I bin them.
Also I plan to get my hubs, uprights and callipers powdercoated. Strange question but gunmetal/grey or Matt black. I realise it's personal
preference but wondered if any of you have done similar and have pictures.
Mine are in the bin. The wheel is open, so its gets a bloody strong breeze across is braking from 70. More than enough to shift dust.
They are nothing to do with brake dust, they are to prevent stones getting wedged into the caliper.
Are they required for the test and mot?
