group n steering UV joint

Modified the column to take a steel group B universal joint as sold by rally design only to now find after just 500 miles or so there's wear and I've got play in the steering, it's not at a tight angle and it's on a lightweight kit not the intended rally car as designed! Very dissapointed I think I need to have à word with rally design for a free replacement.

I put mine in the bin and ordered some new ones from MotorSport Tools

They weren't interested when I emailed them about the play in mine. It had been about nine months since I bought it but it had never been fitted. I binned it and bought one for a Ford Ka.

Rally Design have some tie in with Darren George who is the antichrist of the kitcar world, I wouldn't order anything from any company who had even the slightest whiff of him

Great thanks to all for the help. I'll persist for a refund and they can have it back!

Tbh i bought a fair bit of rally design stuff on the Pulse project, i think every single part has now been taken off, chucked in the bin and replaced with better quality parts from somewhere else.

Its gone very downhill!

The ones from Motorsport tools looks identical to the one I've got from rally design?!

AB have some jewel like ones. Pricey though. Failing that CBS have some good looking chrome ones.

Thats why Im surprised its Worn ,I've used them for many years and have been happy with the quality, maybe it's a change in the supplier/owner.

thank you for brightening my morning prior to attacking the soot that has fallen down in the front room

Motor Sport tools have Group 4 parts and heavy duty Group 4 parts. I fitted the heavy duty ones and I can assure you they are the business:

then I'll be going to them for that joint then, I did have à heated call with rally design this morning and as yet no refund although I'm going to write in, they said that it was actually 13 months ago and there are so many variables as to why it could wear out, even though it's in a light weight kit that's covered hardly any distance it doesn't matter to them, honestly I don't think they gave a crap. My point to them will be that any product is expected to have à reasonable amount of life and thus this is not fit for purpose.

How does, fitting them, sitting in the workshop for 13 months then failing an MOT. Their parts are pish!
