I found vary cheap 14" Shocks for Harley Davidson 1975 - 1978 XLH and XLCH and wonder are they OK for the Locost, the eye to eye in the book is
14" that suits well , and they are coilover , that is OK too . But are they strong enough... in the book it say that springs shoud be 200lb and I
can't find specification for these Harley's one...
any clue...
I understand that Motorcycle shocks have "progressively wound" springs that might not give the best performance on an automobile. Not sure why, but rejected them when I was considering my shocks. I suspect that one could replace the springs with something suitable with the required spring rates.
but is the damping of a how ever heavy motorbike the same as you'd want in a how ever heavy driven without leaning over car?
