Just took the Velocity out for the first run of the year after having upgrade the brakes and other bits and pieces.

Took it very carefully as I was bedding in the brakes so gentle stops and then gradually harder stops for faster speeds.

The front nearside caliper appeared to bind after about 10 minutes and got fairly hot. Once cooled it has released. Is this to be expected when bedding in new brakes? (Wilwood Calipers). I suspect not so suggestions on what could be causing it?

I've also noticed that the rev counter now "beats" in time with the indicators at certain revs but not all the time? Any ideas?

Check to make sure that you have some free play in the master cylinder push rod. One way to tell if the master cylinder is "on" is to crack off the bleed nipple on the caliper when brakes are binding, if brake is released then master cylinder is holding pressure OR you may have a faulty hose? Brakes may expand when hot and cause binding especially if tolerances are tight.
Rev counter fault sounds like a possible bad earth somewhere

Check the washer at the master cyilnder isn't fouling the flair on the mushroom head on the end of the push rod.
